Royal Mail: It’s raining cats and dogs
The humble postage stamp is a unique medium, treasured by consumers and collectors alike. To design a stamp is something quite special. We’ve designed a few in our time.
Never work with children and animals so the maxim goes. But who could resist helping to promote the extraordinary work of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
A set of ten first-class stamps were designed featuring rescued animals to commemorate the home’s 150th anniversary. The Battersea home is a world famous charity that aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help.
Endearing personalities
Our creative focus was to perfectly capture the endearing and unique personalities of the animals. You can only imagine the fun and games we had with art directing these 10 stars to create a set of charming and expressive images, that would naturally appeal to the hearts of the UK’s nation of animal lovers. We even managed to capture a cheeky wink from Tigger a loveable tomcat.
All of these former Battersea residents, happily found new owners to live with. A great story.
The stamp of success
We have a rich creative history of collaboration with Royal Mail, producing some truly iconic and commemorative stamps. These include the Rugby World Cup, Microcosmos and Astronomy stamps.
The Battersea Dogs and Cats Home stamps met with a nation-wide acclaim capturing the affection of the British public.
It was an honour to receive a prestigious Davey design award for our Battersea work.
Australia Post
Our first stamp for Australia Post. Norfolk Island Golf Club is the only course in the world to be located within a World Heritage Site.
The Club house, No 1 Quality Row, dates back to 1825 and is the most extensive remaining pre-1850 penal settlement in Australasia. The course’s position on Point Hunter Reserve has impressive scenic views of the island with its rolling hills and pine trees.
